When New Jersey based yarn dyer, NJ Fiberworks reached out to me to see if I would be interested in doing a custom dye / design collaboration, I was thrilled. What could be better than two Jersey girls teaming up to put our creativity together to create something fantastic? The Raffaella cowl is the end result of Jennifer’s impeccable yarn dyeing skills and my knitwear design. In purchasing this pattern and accompanying yarn, you are supporting two, women-owned businesses and if you’re in New Jersey, you’re keeping money in our local economy. Win win!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Needles
Size US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular knitting needles
Optional: Straight knitting needles for tubular cast on

Notions
Scissors, darning needle, stitch marker, blocking boards and wool wash

Yarn
Worsted weight: 218 yards
Recommended Yarn: 1 skein of NJ Fiberworks 100% superwash merino, worsted weight (218 yds / 3.5oz; 200 m / 100g). Sample shown in custom color Raffaella.

GAUGE

4 in x 4 in / 10 cm x 10 cm; 20 sts x 25 rows in repeating stitch, after wet blocking.

22.5” circumference and 12.5” height
